AbstrACTION Art Show 2025 Part 1 - Success!

AbstrACTION Art Show 2025 Part 1 - Success!

On August 8th, 2025, the AbstrACTION Art group brought creativity and community together with an exhibition at Better World Studios in Graniteville, South Carolina. Guests enjoyed a spread of fresh fruit, veggies, baked goods, and wine, all lovingly prepared by local chef Will Putnam. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and full of inspiration.

A highlight of the evening was when a few of us had the chance to share the stories behind our work. I spoke about my piece 21 Weeks, and after my talk, a dear friend hugged me with tears in her eyes. While part of me felt bad for stirring such deep emotion, another part of me was grateful—because this is what art does. It connects us, challenges us, and sometimes brings hidden feelings to the surface. That’s why I always strive to tell stories through my art.

The best part? This was only the beginning. On September 9th, 2025, we’ll be back with Part 2 of our exhibition at the University of South Carolina Aiken’s Etherredge Center. This show will be especially exciting because it also marks the first meeting of Season 5—and guests will get a behind-the-scenes look at our creative process live.

I can’t wait to share more moments like this with you.

Until next time, friends!
